Holly Holder - Painter

Originally from London, I trained at the BBC and worked as a make-up artist for 26 years in Film and TV. Due to a rare genetic eye disorder, Retinitis Pigmentosa, I am now registered legally blind. Now living in North Yorkshire, I have transferred my artistry from face to canvas. My Abstract  impressionistic style derives from my lack of vision and I rely on instinctive strokes to convey the powerful imagery. My work depicts evocative land and seascapes, I have always felt a strong connection with nature, and am inspired by the energy, power and beauty of water.

Since launching my art career June 2016, I have had both group and solo exhibitions with my work and my story receiving both local and national media attention. I still has a few pieces on display to the public as well as building a strong collector base across the UK and USA.
